Chipmunks and Country...probably the best thing ever.

Drink in My Hand - Eric Church via the Chipmunks ;)

I was formatting a blog for a while, and as I was getting frustrated, I decided I needed some music for the process.  I'm pretty pumped that I came across this little gem:

Jason Aldean - New Lyric Video - Dirt Road Anthem

A different way to approach a lyric video.  I kinda like it.  What do you think?

You & Tequila Make Me Crazy

I was at the Kenny Chesney concert in Toronto and fell in love with this song when Grace Potter came onto the stage to sing it with Kenny. Afterwards, she non-chalantly came out to the audience and just happened to sit right in front of me to watch the rest of the concert. I couldn't help but bug her for a photo. What a sweet gorgeous lady.

The Band Perry - You Lie

The other day, I was on the phone with my mother telling her that I'm heading to a $20 concert in Niagara Falls in March...

"Who are y'all seein'?" She asked in her southern Tennessee accent.
"The Band Perry," I replied
"Hmm never heard of them," she unenthusiastically remarked.
I attempted to sing, "really? If I die young...".
"Oh my goodness, they're huge!  How'd you get such cheap tickets?" she asked.

Her voice gets a lil high pitched when she's excited so I had to move the phone further away from my decibel blaring soon-to-be broken eardrums.

A couple months ago, I posted their song "If I Die Young" with one small line saying, "The next Lady Antebellum, I think so".  Today, in Toronto, I heard another one of their hit single's, "You Lie".  This family band is destined for super-stardom and the only reason I got tickets for $20 was because that concert was booked back when practically nobody knew them.  Not so much the case now.  It's amazing how quickly a band can make a name for themselves.  Now, I have no idea how long they've been playing together or working for this success, all I can say is kudos to them!  They're opening up for the best this fall...Keith Urban.  The best concert I've ever been to in my life was put on by Keith Urban...and guess who opened for him that time?  Lady A.  Just sayin' and reinforcing "the next Lady Antebellum, I think so" statement.  Feel free to call my bluff in 2012 but I don't think that's gonna happen.

If you haven't checked them out yet, give "You Lie" a listen and tell me what ya think!

PUT YOU IN A SONG

Dear Keith (just the guy that wishes he could be my man one day),
I thought long and hard about granting you permission regarding such a huge request.  My secretary and lawyer both advised me against it, however, I'm going ahead with it.
May this letter act as permission to put me in a song. Go to town with it.
Kind Regards,
Georgia (the girl in that song)

Rascal Flatts kill 'em by the dozens

Don't take life too seriously.

Casey from CMT embarks upon the true feelings within Rascal Flatt's tear jerker videos.  In response, Gary lightens the mood shifting to their track record of death in Here Comes Goodbye where you get "two for the price of one in the death count".  Way to not be serious even for a second Gary.  On that note, I like his style.  What can I say, they like a good death count.

Video: You can find the video of this convo with RFlatts and Casey at cmt.ca on the right hand side under videos, along with many more...
